Minkyoung Kim

Beginning on 1 September 2021, I am the Assistant Professor for Ocean Chemistry in the Kyungpook National University.

I mainly study the particulate organic carbon cycling by using the sinking particles collected in sediment trap from the global ocean.

​

My research focuses on:

(1) understanding the global significance of resuspended particles (lithogenic particle-hosted organic matter) 

 (2) identifying the organic carbon cycling and biogeochemical properties with its response for the various temporal(short term- to long term climate change, from mesoscale eddy to deglaciation) and spatial (regional- to global-scale, from marginal sea to polar regions) climate change and biological pump system.
